There is a
12
foot aluminum boat with oars included in your rental, bring an
outboard motor if you have one along with life vests.
There is a
storage barn
included for boat motors, bicycles, and misc. equipment. See main
web page for picture.
Be sure to
bring LIFE VESTS
for the boats and canoes. DNR will fine you if you don't have the
proper number of life vests in your boat.
There is a
15' "Guide" Canoe included with your rental.
There are
3
kayaks included with your rental.
Bring a
sunfish or parasail if you wish.
The
"Trading Post" is
located a short walk through the woods, about 1/4 mile and has
everything from groceries to fishing lures and worms to canoe
rentals.
There are
nearby rivers to canoe in, upper and lower Platte, upper Platte
river is faster, lower Platte river is slower and a bit wider.
We can't
guarantee that there will always be firewood available, depending on
what is left behind by the last family, just in case, firewood can
be purchased here also.
Refrigerator
and cupboards will be empty when you arrive, with the exception of
some
condiments. There are a few baking supplies in
the cupboard like flower and sugar. Please replace what you use.

Information on Beds
It is important that
everyone understand sheets must be on any beds used during
your stay. All of our mattresses and pillows are covered with
hypoallergenic covers but these covers are not intended to be
used as sheets. Additional sheets and pillow covers must be
brought by all families and placed over these hypoallergenic
covers.
In the master bedroom
there is a King Size bed. We realize everyone does not have a
king size bed at home so we are providing a set of blue king
size sheets for that bed. If you have your own sheets, simply
put the blue sheets we have provided aside and use your own. If
you need to use the blue sheets, please do so and make sure they
get thrown in the washer prior to you leaving. Our cleaning
folks will dry them and get them ready for the next family
arriving.
